“Eaten By Darkness” explores the silent battles of mental health — the way it creeps in, swallowing parts of us we once held close. This striking piece uses bold contrast and negative space to express the tension between inner strength and inner shadow. The figure, faceless and partially consumed, wears a radiant orange bodysuit — a symbol of life, resilience, and the fire that refuses to burn out. Though she’s lost pieces of herself to the dark, she still stands — whole in spirit, even if not untouched. This work honors the journey through pain, and the quiet victory of surviving what was meant to break us.
